As its name so adequately points out, this application will help you create a screensaver for Windows-powered machines. The screensaver will feature custom images, custom music, custom text, and more. Via a user friendly interface, Acme Photo ScreenSaver Maker delivers all the functionality you need to come up with a screensaver that meets all your needs.

The system requirements for running Acme Photo ScreenSaver Maker are: Windows operating system (anything from XP onward, 32 or 64-bit flavor), DirectX 9, graphics card with at least 65MB of memory, 2GHz processor or better, at least 256MB of RAM memory (1GB recommended). If your PC meets these requirements, and the truth is that any modern PC will meet them, you will have no problems installing the application on it.

To make sure you have no problems figuring out the interface, Acme Photo ScreenSaver Maker will display a Help file when you first launch the application. It will present detailed information about the interface and clear instructions on how to use the application. The simple truth of the matter is that the interface is so easy to use that you don’t really need to check out this tutorial. But you should, because you will familiarize yourself with the interface and the functionality in very little time.

The process of creating a screensaver starts with you loading the images you want to use. After that you have numerous means of customizing the screensaver to make it fit your needs: choose how the images will be displayed (static photo, floating photo, full screen stretch, original size tiled, random order, and more), add some music that will be played in the background, choose what will be displayed in the background, add a photo frame, add a caption and headline, choose what transition effects will be used, pick if you want to use the lyric display function, include opening and ending titles, enter any screensaver info you want, limit the amount of playing times, put a password on the screensaver.

When you’re done, you can preview your work. If you’re not happy but don’t want to work on the project anymore, save it and get back to it at a later time. If you’re happy with it, you can move to the screensaver creation process. The Create Screen Saver prompt presents two options: Screen Saver for Local System (don’t package Photo or Music) and Full Screen Saver File (include Photo, Music).

Please note that Acme Photo ScreenSaver Maker is only free to try: the trial will not package more than 7 photos in the final screensaver.

Two things about Acme Photo ScreenSaver Maker are impressive: the ease of use and the multitude of options for customizing your screensaver.

Pros

The system requirements for running Acme Photo ScreenSaver Maker are very low. The interface is easy to use and good looking. There’s a handy Help file that presents the interface and the application’s functionality. There are numerous options to customize your screensaver.

Cons

The trial will not use more than 7 images in the final screensaver.
